These yarns were spinning experiments playing with plies and styles of plying yarn. Note that the romney/merino yarn is not as soft as the alpaca yarns, which are super soft.

Skein 1:
hand-processed (picked, washed, dyed, combed before spinning) romney 2 ply re-spun in the opposite direction to hand-dyed merino top forming a 3ply “crepe” yarn
4.6oz/130gr; approx 188 yards; 3ply; approx 7 wpi (bulky); medium texture

Skein 2:
hand processed alpaca chain plied, then re-spun to hand dyed merino top in the opposite direction, forming an experiment 4-ply “crepe” yarn
3oz/84gr; approx 138 yards; 4ply; approx 10 wpi (worsted); soft

Skein 3:
hand processed alpaca with bits of sparkly angelina fiber, plied into a 2ply yarn, then respun in the opposite direction to hand dyed merino top forming a 3 ply “crepe” yarn
1.5oz/44gr; approx 84 yards; 3ply; 8wpi (bulky); soft

Stash Buster – cleaning out my closet
These three yarns are being sold as a discounted set from my personal stash. Items from my personal stash are often experiments that I feel may not be as up to par as the yarn I spin for sale, or was spun for a particular project that never came to fruition.

I’ve decided to sell off my personal stash of yarns to make way for new projects. Much of my time is spent dyeing fiber and spinning it that I will never get a chance to knit or crochet my personal stash.
