Description
Corriedale sheep wool from Canadian producers. I spun this yarn from roving into a 2-ply yarn and then kettle dyed by injecting color in random sections of the yarn for a light and dark patch effect. A lofty bulky yarn.
Corriedale is essentially a merino hybrid sheep. This multi-purpose fiber was a pleasure to spin – reminded me of a fluffier merino fiber (less dense). Characterized as medium soft with long staples. Since it has an even crimp the yarn has a lot of loft and elasticity.
This item ships from Canada’s east coast.
