SOLD Handspun Yarn – art yarn – mohair aqua locks plied with silk

Description

Mohair locks were purchased raw from an small New England producer. Picked, washed and dyed and then tailspun via spinning wheel to preserve the fun curly lock structure of the fleece. Then plied with a handspun silk thread. Weight and length is approximate.

2-ply; approx 6 WPI (super bulky); hand-dyed

Due to the nature of raw washed fleece not chemically processed, expect some flecks of vegetable matter within the yarn. Great art yarn to incorporate with your knitted project for edges and cuffs – it would even make fun doll hair.
