Description
I call this one: Pop Rocks on a Cloudy Day – super soft, squishy and inviting! At 600 yards this is one of my larger skeins up for sale. Colorful with glints of sparkle, I started with raw merino fleece that I picked, washed, dyed, combed and blended several colors with sparkly angelina fibers before spinning. Then this 2-ply was re-spun in the opposite direction to a grey gradient merino top that I also hand-dyed. The resulting yarn is a variation of a crepe yarn, since 2 plies are wrapping around one. It’s one of my fave ways to ply yarn, giving it lots of interest and fun to the design.
3ply; 9.3oz/266gr; approx. 600 yards; approx. 10 wpi (worsted)
Handspun on my Lendrum & plied on my SpinOlution wheel.
