Description
This yarn can be described as colorful & soft in feel, with glints of sparkle. To begin creating this yarn I plied grey alpaca together as a two ply (alpaca was processed by myself from raw: picked, washed, dyed grey, combed and blended with sparkly angelina fibers before spinning). Then this 2-ply was re-spun in the opposite direction to a vibrant multi-colored targhee (sheep wool) top that I also hand-dyed several colors. The resulting yarn is a variation of a crepe yarn, since 2 plies are wrapping around one. It’s one of my fave ways to ply yarn, giving it lots of interest and fun to the design.
