Two completely different skeins of handspun yarn using the same materials and dye colors in different ways. I love to experiment with color and spinning techniques. I simply can’t keep them all, as I will never find time to knit them all up, so I sell many of my handspun yarn creations for the enjoyment of others.

Skein 1 – Speckle
This is a 2-ply yarn spun from white Merino wool top. After spun in its natural color, it was then speckle dyed in a low water immersion giving a it a fun paint splatter look. Colors used include: country green, salmon pink, aztec gold, mulberry, sand, magenta, amethyst, blues and aqua

2ply; 2oz/58gr; 232 yards; approx. 12 wpi (DK); light and soft in feel

Skein 2 – Smooth
Merino top roving was dyed in low water immersion using same colors as skein 1 sprinkled over top, and allowing the colors to meld together. It was then spun into a 2ply yarn.
