Description
At 8.7oz, this is one hefty yarn! Mighty in ply and soft in feel. To begin creating this yarn I plied alpaca together as a three ply (alpaca was processed by myself from raw: picked, washed, dyed, combed and blended with sparkly angelina fibers and bits of angora before spinning). Then the 3-ply was re-spun in the opposite direction to a multi-colored merino top that I also hand-dyed several colors. The resulting yarn is a variation of a crepe yarn, although a 4-ply and not the traditional 3-ply. It’s one of my fave ways to ply yarn, giving it lots of interest and fun to the design.
