Mohair locks, merino and angelina were blended on my drum carder before spun and then plied to handspun silk thread. This big/small plying effect is known as a spiral ply, and it makes a very cool art yarn.

Cormo sheep wool was purchased from raw from a small producer in Upstate New York. I washed, picked & combed this fleece and then dyed it in my home studio before drum carding it together with bits of silk and sparkly angelina fibers. The batts were then spun into this super soft yarn.
